The splendour of
the Royal Albert Hall

As one of the most iconic buildings in London, the Royal Albert Hall is a must on most to-do lists. Right in the heart of Kensington, it is just a short walk away from our hotel doors. This world-famous music venue is a fantastic attraction, whether you want to just tour the building or attend one of its many events.

Hosting more than 350 events every year, you can see everything from award ceremonies to rock concerts and, of course, the classical music it's so famous for. Even if you don't make it to an event, the building itself is well worth the trip. It was designed to replicate the incredible amphitheatres of Rome, which, along with its lavish interior, makes it one of London's most well-loved buildings.

The Royal Albert Hall

  • The Royal Hall was officially opened on 29 March 1871 by Queen Victoria
  • The Grade I-listed building was the brainchild of her husband, Prince Albert, who wanted to create a 'central hall' to appreciate science and the arts
  • It hosts some of London's most high-profile events including the annual Proms ceremony

"Stunning inside and out"

"One of the most iconic landmarks in the UK. Absolutely stunning building. Internally the hall is very atmospheric with great acoustics. If you ever get the chance to see a concert here...do it!"
