Top Romantic Activities in London

London is one of the romantic cities in the world so whether it’s Valentine’s Day or Date Night, check out the capital for romantic things to do, see and eat. Go spread some love!

Take in the View

Stroll or even trot through the staggeringly beautiful Hyde Park by Kensington Palace which offers horse riding all year round. Or enjoy a glass of bubbles aboard the London Eye on the South Bank for a date to remember!

A Romantic Meal

For romance, book lunch or dinner at the Park Terrace Restaurant in the Royal Garden Hotel for seasonal British cuisine, or take the lift to the 10th floor for the finest Chinese restaurant in London, Ming Jiang, which offers perfect Dim Sum to be enjoyed with stunning views of the London skyline. Both pose the ideal spot to propose, or simply enjoy a romantic dinner.

Pop to Little Venice

This area by the Grand Canal in North West London is one of the most romantic spots in the whole of London, tucked away from the business of the city and home to picture-perfect houseboats and indie cafes and restaurants close by. Go drink, dine and walk hand in hand by the waterway. Just beautiful.

Visit Buckingham Palace

Book a visit to Buckingham Palace to lap up the opulently decorated state rooms and witness first-hand the most beautiful art in the Royal Collection, spanning work by Rembrandt, Rubens, Canaletto and Claude. Dreamy.

Dinner Cruise on the Thames

Start the evening with bubbles and enjoy a three course meal on the Thames taking in the skyline by night. Perfect for a proposal or to celebrate an anniversary, take to the water and be dazzled by live music, delicious food and the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf.

Jazz Cafe, Camden

Take your loved one for a night of jazz. Since it’s opening, many stars have graced it’s stage from Amy Winehouse, D’Angelo, Roy Ayers to Bobby Womack. Famous for its entertainment and also food, dine while you watch the live show.

Go to the Movies

The Electric Cinema in Portobello is everything you could want or need for a luxurious cinema experience with declining chairs, champagne in your HUGE seats and cashmere blankets. With special screenings all year round, check out their schedule and book a movie night like no other.

Climb the Dome of St Paul’s Cathedral

Climb 259 steps up the dome in St Paul’s Cathedral to the Whispering Gallery which runs around the interior. Note that a whisper in there is audible on the opposite side so your sweet nothings won’t be private, but what an experience nonetheless!

Chocolate heaven

Chocolate is the food of love. Dip into Choccy Woccy Doodah in Covent Garden for a cocoa experience like no other. The Cake Salon there offers a private space for a special date or proposal and The Parlour can be booked for 10 so step into this magical world and enjoy dipping pots of molten chocolate with fruit, brownies, honeycomb and marshmallows for an unforgettable date.
