In the heart of Kensington Gardens, is this beautiful area. From perfectly manicured lawns and topiary to the stunning Portland stone and white marble Tazza Fountain it is so famous for, the Italian Gardens are a brilliant way to enjoy some natural beauty in London. The Grade-II listed area is bursting with history and exciting stories about the Royal families that have lived in nearby Kensington Palace.

St James' Park
Although it is one of the smallest Royal parks, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. Surrounded by all the elegance and regality you'd expect from such a place, St James' Park is a green space you won't want to miss. It's just a short walk away from Buckingham Palace so it's a perfect spot to stop off for lunch or tea after a busy day exploring Pall Mall and the nearby area.
Your little ones will be delighted, as pelicans wander freely throughout the park and there are plenty of feathery friends on the lake. You'll also be sure to spot the Tiffany Fountain, which fires water an incredible 20ft into the air.
A secret held dearly by locals, Primrose Hill is a brilliant way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city without actually having to go too far. It has a much more low-key atmosphere than the other parks in the list, but it gives visitors an incredible view of the city. Enjoy a picnic while you take in the London skyline and digest a day well spent in the capital with your loved ones.
