Honest Mum's Top Easter Activities in London

Easter falls on April 1st this year and there are lots of egg-citing activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Kensington Palace

30 March - 6 April

With a wonderful programme for all the family to enjoy, head to Kensington Palace and share in Queen Mary’s love of gardens. A stroll through the park for a meet and greet with Queen Mary will help you pick up green-fingered inspiration to create your own paper palace garden to take home. There will also be a Time Explorers Station with fun trails and arts and crafts activities.

V&A Winnie-The-Pooh: Exploring a Classic

Until 8 April

Enjoy learning more about the conception of the nation’s favourite bear, Winnie-The-Pooh, with a look at A.A Milne and E.H. Shepard’s magical collaboration. This unmissable exhibit is manifested through cartoons, ceramics, fashion, letters and sketches. Make sure not to miss out.

Kew Gardens

30 March 2018 - 15 April 2018

Peter Rabbit and his friends are having an Easter party at the famous Kew Gardens and everyone’s invited! This Beatrix Potter extravaganza offers you the chance to tour Mr. McGregor’s shed so you can see how he grows his plants. Listen to stimulating storytelling sessions, where Peter and friends dress-up, and attend fun bunny ear workshops. There will also be daily warren building activities so you can make Peter and his family a home. This promises to be a magical Easter day out so book now.

Superhero Takeover at ZSL London Zoo

30 March 2018 - 15 April 2018

As part of the Superhero Takeover at London Zoo, this Easter you can enjoy self-guided Superpower Trails. Observe the talented inhabitants, spanning from a super-strong leafcutter ant to the axolotl (a cute Mexican walking fish) which can cleverly regrow its limbs. WOW! Kids will receive a fun comic book on the day full of fascinating facts to help guide them through the trial. There will also be educational and fun activities back at Superpower HQ where kids can make sticky webs and even learn how to camouflage themselves just like the insects they have seen.

Jungle skills at the National Army Museum

30 March 2018 - 15 April 2018

Visit The National Army Museum for free to enjoy family-friendly exhibits and jungle-themed activities, where children can learn jungle survival skills. On 31 March and 4, 7, 8 and 11 April they will also have a chance to handle spiders, snakes and cockroaches if they feel brave enough!
