Shift Engineer

We are a five-red star hotel comprising of 394 bedrooms. Situated in central Kensington, you can rest assured that you are only minutes away from some of the capital's most popular tourist attractions. Our rooms offer panoramic views of Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park and London’s skyline.

We are recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time position, working on shift pattern of 4on/4off, covering nights and days. 

As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the day to day operational activities within a busy Engineering department and you will provide a polite and courteous service to the standards required by a five-star hotel.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who is able to

  • To install, repair and maintain all the electrical and mechanical, plumbing, and air-conditioning installations in the hotel and hostel. Effectively repairing and serving the Guests and Staff using the Knowcross Management System. Additional skills of carpentry and general maintenance will be required;
  • Assists any other maintenance personnel in day to day duties and emergencies as required to the needs of the Engineering Department;
  • Is conversant with Portable Appliance Testing Procedures;
  • Carries out PPM on plant and electrical intake rooms;
  • Ensures work practices are compliant with government guidelines.

The right candidate for this role must have recent solid Shift Engineer experience in a similar establishment, and the following qualifications:

  • Electrical Installation 18th Edition or equivalent qualification or
  • NVQ level 2 Heating & Ventilation or equivalent qualification or
  • NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or equivalent qualification

Security Officer

We are a five-red star hotel comprising of 394 bedrooms. We are recruiting for a Security Officer to join our Security team. This is a permanent, full-time position, working on shift pattern of 4on/4off, 12hours shifts, covering nights and days. 

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the practical application of security measures which include the wellbeing of employees and guests according to agreed policies of the Hotel and the procedures and objectives as set out by the Assistant Security Manager.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who is able to

  • Performs duties in line with departmental Standard Operating Procedures and complies with all Security and relevant hotel policies and;
  • Ensure all team members follow the company’s Code of Conduct;
  • Reports all maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace to the Assistant Security Manager and to comply with statutory and legal requirements for health and safety;
  • Reports in the manner directed all accidents affecting employees or property, having carried out a full investigation;
  • Ensures the property is kept secured during its closure;
  • Ensures work practices are compliant with government guidelines.

The right candidate for this role must have recent solid Security Officer experience in a similar establishment, and the following qualifications:

  • First Aid qualified or willing to undertake a first aid course;
  • Basic knowledge of H&S;
  • Risk Assessment Competent.
