Wok Chef


The Min Jiang at the Royal Garden Hotel is a contemporary Chinese Restaurant with a capacity of 110 people. This stylish restaurant includes a cross section of culinary influences from the Sichuan cantons and an authentic wood fired oven to cook Beijing Ducks. A brigade of specialist chefs will produce fresh Dim Sum daily. Ingredients will be authentically sourced and a Chinese style of service will be adopted.
 
To apply for this position the candidate needs to have had previous experience in a well established fine dining Chinese restaurant, having had some level of experience working services on the Wok Station. The successful candidate will be expected to cook basic Chinese stir fry dishes without supervision. We are seeking an individual with the ability to work as part of a team who clearly demonstrates attributes of flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced and busy working environment. Excellent training opportunities will be provided to develop the candidate's skills.
 
The Royal Garden Hotel offers excellent Learning and development opportunities to all members of staff. A good understanding of the English Language would be a benefit but is not essential as opportunities for language training can be provided. Staff Accommodation is also available.
