I first noticed the Royal Garden Hotel when I was walking along High Street Kensington; it looked like a lovely place to work, so I applied for the position of Room Attendant. I was so happy when I got the position. I worked for 6 years in that position, sometimes working day shifts and sometimes evening work. I felt that the hotel was very flexible regarding my needs and I managed to balance my work life with my family life which meant a lot to me. In June 2004, I became the hotel seamstress; I am responsible for various things, including providing uniforms for all the staff. I enjoy my position as I get to meet so many different people from different departments. I get pleasure from being able to help people look and feel good in their uniforms so that they can represent the hotel. I think the Royal Garden Hotel is a great place to work as I think it is beautiful and it really feels like I am part of the team.
