Assistant Manager

Our Back of House Team ensures that the support given to Food and Beverage departments behind the scenes is efficient, spotlessly clean, tidy at all times and runs smoothly. Our Back of House team works on its own initiative and is energetic and takes pride in its areas of responsibility.

As Assistant Back of House Manager, you are responsible for assisting the Back of House Manager in planning and directing the Hotel's stewarding and goods receiving operations. You will facilitate and maintain effective communications within the Back of House team and beyond as well as creating and maintaining a positive work environment, enabling the full potential of the Back of House staff. Furthermore, you will be responsible for training stewards on Health and Safety related issues as well as equipment handling.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of another European language is an asset. You must demonstrate understanding of financial, inventory and payroll controls and be conversant with Microsoft Office applications. This is not just an office based position and you must be willing to “get your hands dirty”. Previous supervisory experience is essential, preferably within the field of Food and Beverage.
