Amazing opportunity for an experienced Door Person to join our Concierge department at the Royal Garden Hotel.

Whether it’s a VIP arrival, a large diplomatic visit or organising a guest’s holiday, working in Concierge in a 5 Star Hotel is all about knowledge and presence. Demonstrating the ability to multitask and read our guests' needs, exceeding their expectations by delivering at short notice whilst sharing knowledge about the finest detail. Knowing what is happening in London, from new restaurant openings to what is being discussed in Parliament is also paramount, as you never know what you will be asked. There are a number of different roles in the concierge department and each one is key to delivering excellence in service.

The Royal Garden Hotel is a 394 bedroom five red star hotel located on Kensington High Street in easy walking distance to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

As Door Person you will be the very first point of contact for our guests and it is your job to make sure that anybody visiting the Royal Garden Hotel receives a truly distinctive welcome. You will oversee and manage the hotel’s forecourt and ensure that the forecourt is kept clear and tidy at all times as well as organising and controlling the parking of guest cars. You will also be responsible for arranging black taxi services for our guests.

To be suitable for the Door Person role you must be enthusiastic, motivated and well presented individual with a very friendly and welcoming manner. You must have a good command of English language and be a good listener, as you never know when a guest might be in mood for a chit-chat. Knowledge of a second modern language would be an asset. Previous experience in a front of house role is essential, ideally within a similar establishment in Front Office or Concierge.

You MUST have held a full, clean driver’s license for a minimum of two years for this role.
