They seek out potential guests for the hotel by spreading our vision as the most flexible and creative hotel offering outstanding value for money. Our Sales and Marketing team have a keen interest in building sustained customer relationships with a view to develop business.
About the Role
To ensure that agreed revenue targets are met and budgets are achieved for the conference market segment to include residential meetings business. To research and develop new business from designated markets as well as account managing designated preferred accounts
As Conference and Events/Group Sales Manager, you will be working closely with the Head of Sales and Director of Conference & Events to develop and maintain accounts with MICE agents, DMCs and corporate clients, ensuring that the hotel receives maximum business. This is a proactive sales role and entails implementing the annual sales strategy and researching new and exciting business opportunities for the conference market. It will also require you to organise and host familiarisation, networking and entertainment events to introduce potential new agencies and direct clients to the Royal Garden Hotel.
You will need to be able to visit conference and event agencies both within London and throughout the UK, and possibly attend tradeshows both in the UK and abroad.
You will need to have a strong business sense and proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both, internal and external customers. Both written and verbal communication skills are essential as well as a friendly and persuasive approach. Previous experience in Conference and Events proactive Sales is vital. Ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Delphi and Opera and have knowledge of third party online providers e.g. Cvent. Experience within the UK market is essential, with London experience preferred.
